The Wideband Dipole Antenna is a cage biconical dipole antenna for broad frequency coverage with linear polarisation. Mounted on an insulating support tube, the antenna is centre-fed with an integral broadband choke balun.
Typically used for vertical polarisation, the antenna is ideal for rapid deployment in conjunction with wideband tactical radios.
With nominal frequency coverage from 130 to 550 MHz, the antenna covers the VHF High and UHF military frequency bands with ideal horizon coverage.
It can also be used in its second resonance band to provide horizon coverage from 700 to 1000 MHz with no performance penalty.
This antenna may be stacked for additional gain.
Made of lightweight aluminium construction this antenna can also be anodised with optional black, tan or olive drab coating, available on request.
A ruggedised storage/carry case can also be supplied.
