The Sentinel Row

Testing endurance, navigation and seamanship to the limit, Ian Rivers Row Sentinel is currently rowing ‘Sentinel’ on a solo unsupported trip across the North Atlantic from New York to the Isles of Scilly. Using only a sextant as the main form of navigation, this 3,100 nautical mile crossing is designed to raise money for the Special Air Service Regimental Association (SASRA) and St Michael’s Hospice, Hereford, whilst also raising Mental Health Awareness of challenges facing serving and veteran personnel.
.
Showing our support with a fraction of the effort involved in Ian’s journey, Team GRC have rowed 63,791m (Ian is doing this and more daily!) donating funds raised to his worthy causes.
