The UBC 8-bay Charger provides battery charging technology to the warfighter, through a highly rugged, field-deployable, multi-battery, modular solution designed to withstand tough mission environments.
It delivers a scalable charging system that charges eight AN/PRC-148 or AN/PRC-152 batteries simultaneously, and also provides for the addition of new batteries through software upgradability and an innovative modular design.
Weighing approx. 2.72 kg, it is small enough to be carried in a ruck sack, and is rugged enough to be vehicle mounted. It incorporates a built-in solar charge controller for harvesting power from solar panels and a built-in test/analyser function, allowing the user to display the “health” of batteries in a matter of seconds.
