From Hereford to Kenya! It’s great to see the first of the C-COM Satellite Systems satcom on-the-pause antenna on Avanti satellite airtime being installed by our engineer. These vehicle based terminals are the first stage in the the joint SatDRR project with Avanti Communications Group plc, UK Space Agency, GRC Ltd. Airbus, Torchlight Group and the Kenya Red Cross, with an aim to improving communication for disaster prevention, response and recovery.

Most of our kit is specifically designed to work in tough environments and some demo’s put that to the test! Despite the rain, wind and mud, we had a great day showing our SCYTALE voice and data solution, along with the ultra-portable Satcube AB satcom terminal. We had a lot of interest in our SCYTALE Maritime, working live on Thuraya Telecom and the GRC ROIP Mission Module, capable of transmitting encrypted radio beyond line of sight.
